Took lead role in creating and overseeing the development of all marketing materials and advertisements, 1 set of which was required every 2 weeks.
Confirmed all marketing materials and advertisements were in harmony with organization's overarching mission.
Gave special attention to promoting reading literacy as a key component of organization mission.
Logistics & Leadership
Applied a collaborative approach to leading bi-monthly club meetings, where group members planned and implemented their preferred agenda of club meetings.
Delegated tasks and networking requests to members with closer proximity to the intended demographic; i.e. college of education students.
Ensured that members remained engaged during meetings through active group participation and interaction with a minimum of one social activity for each event.
Kept meetings light but centered around our bookmark projects.
Resource Management
Demonstrated effective initiatives to minimize costs of participation and involvement decreasing the cost of materials by a third.
Coordinated the collection of more than 10 pounds of yarn donations from more than eight sources.
Have been forecasted to collect more than 300 items of valuable support to underserved communities, including foster homes and the homeless.
Community Engagement
Successfully networked and established connections and partnerships with 10 university locations and 4 donation sites for a university-wide fundraising event.
Emphasized the cultivation of a sense of community within the organization through 4-semester events outside of bimonthly meetings.
Aligned all community engagement efforts with the organization's theme: reading and literacy with affiliations with 2 nonprofits that serviced demographics with limited access to literacy skills or materials.
Acted as the face of the organization at 2 formal university organization summits.
Project Development
With a team of 4 group members, conceived and curated themes for semester-long service projects.
Merged 5 creative directions to plan out service projects that maximize their impact and relevance.
Developed strong skills in brainstorming ideas and concepts for areas that require creative thinking including project blueprints and in implementation.
Successfully executed and managed fundraising initiatives and events.
Built the initiatives on themes and projects that actively addressed an issue in the local Raleigh community: literacy, and fostered a reading culture within the community. Initiatives include crafting projects, collections, and potential contacts.
Social Media Growth
Achieved significant growth on our organization's Instagram and university-affiliated organization platform, starting from 0 followers and reaching over 120 followers in just 6 months.
Gained and retained more than 10 members from social media outreach.
Leveraged proficiency in social media outreach and strategy to drive growth with photography and graphic design aptitudes.
Used compelling content and effective communication to engage followers.
